Corinne is 2!

Corinne turned 2 today! I'm not a very creative mother so I didn't spend too much time making an awesome birthday cake. But, since she's only 2, I am hoping she doesn't know any better.
She seemed happy enough about the candles and was sad that we intended for her to blow them out. She was very disappointed when Daddy actually blew them out for her. She was so mesmorized by the pretty twinkling flames.
But I think she forgave him when she tasted the cake and discovered it was yummy.
Matthew couldn't resist the urge to help Corinne unwrap her birthday presents. I think Corinne was happy for the help. She seemed to be easily distracted by all the presents (there were only 4). She couldn't decide which one she wanted to open first so Matthew gladly helped her out.

Then we brought out the slide. It was a little smaller than I was expecting but she still loved it! She kept going down and down.

Then she wanted to try on the authentic Hawaiian dress that Grandma and Grandpa Green sent her from Hawaii! So she put it on right over her clothes and went down the slide some more! Happy birthday, Corinne! We love you!

Finger suckers

I've caught Nora sucking two fingers recently. She has just learned how to put her hands to her mouth in the past few weeks. She initially was going for the thumb but now she solely sucks the fingers. It is usually any combination of fingers, even as many as three at a time but these seem to be her favorite--just like her older sister.

Here's Corinne at about the same age when she discovered her beloved two fingers that still go in her mouth. She even is beginning to develop a callus on the top of her middle finger.

And this is how we see Nora much of the time while she is awake. Whenever one of us talks to her and pays attention to her she is all smiles. We love Nora! She is 4 months old today!

2 Little Monkeys

I caught these two little monkeys jumping on the bed this morning after breakfast. Luckily, no one broke their heads.

Feeding the baby

While I was nursing Nora one day, I told Corinne to get her baby. She went and found it and then we talked about the baby for a little while and then I told her to feed her baby. What does she do? She pulls up her shirt and puts the baby to it! It just made me giggle!
