ADD and ultrasound #6 or #7...I'm losing count

Well, I had another ultrasound on Monday and the result--they think my amniotic fluid is a little on the low side. Why does all this happen while Jeremy is gone? I've never had complications like this with my other pregnancies. It was the same doctor that found the "sliver" of fluid on the baby's lungs also. I think she's bad news. She came in the room and I just thought, "uh oh." I just knew she was going to find something wrong. So I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks.

On another note, while I was having my ultrasound, Matthew was busy not taking a nap like he was supposed to. I would have put him down when I got home but he was acting fine and behaving so I didn't feel the need. I thought I'd try out a day without the nap. However, by the time dinner was done so was he. He doesn't get grumpy or angry when he's tired, he gets wired. He seriously displays all the characteristic behaviors of a kid with ADD (after being in primary for 5 years I can see the signs). He can't sit still or just stop moving even when he tries. I put on a movie for him which usually will calm him down and keep his undivided attention. He couldn't even sit still for 2 minutes of it! I read some article somewhere that said that many kids that display ADD symptoms probably just aren't getting adequate sleep. That was Matthew that night! I wonder how many kids diagnosed with ADD are really just not getting enough sleep. It makes me curious... but for now, Matthew will continue to have naps so I can keep my sanity.

Nursery!

I now have 2 little ones in nursery! Corinne doesn't technically turn 18 months until Sept. 23, but now that I have connections in the primary I was able to get her in early! I put her in for the last hour last week and the nursery leaders told me she did actually really well (better than I expected). So, I put her in a little bit earlier today. I was a little worried since she is getting another molar and has been on the crankier side this week. But, they told me she did fine today! Yeah! Maybe next week I'll put her in for the full 2 hours!

Providence, RI Zoo

Today we ventured the hour drive to Providence, RI to go to the Roger Williams Zoo which is the closest zoo to us. Matthew loved running to all of the animal exhibits to find the next animal. Here's Corinne chillin' while watching the flamingos.
Matthew had to climb on every statue he saw. Here he is on the dog...
on the camel...
both of them on the frogs...

It was nice that you could get a close view of the giraffes.
Matthew enjoyed watching this turtle. He must be related to his daddy! Turtles are Jeremy's favorite animal to see at the zoos.
They were giving the elephants a bath while we watched.

...and on the caterpillar. We had such a fun morning and the kids both fell asleep for the drive home!

The big bed

I finally attempted putting Corinne to sleep in the big bed today for her nap. She cried for about half an hour before she stopped and I went upstairs to check on her and I heard her doing the sad sniffles while sitting on top of the pillow. I left her for another 20 minutes and came back and found her like this. Yeah! I'm hoping she'll be fully transitioned to the big bed before the baby comes.
