Score

Score: Medfords-10, Black widows-0
We have found 10 black widow spiders outside our house (so grateful it's outside and not inside!) since moving here in February. They are one of the most venomous spiders and it creeps me out knowing they are so close to me and my children. The nice thing is that they are nocturnal and don't come out until it's dark--when my kids are tucked safely away in bed. I tried to find a picture that best shows their creepy spindly legs. I don't think you can really get a feel for how creepy they are unless you witness them crawling around in their webs. Eew!

Corinne is 3!

I can't believe my princess is 3. More accurately, I can't believe she is 3 and still hasn't outgrown the demanding princess phase that she has been in ever since she was born. But I still love her. She is full of energy to the extreme and very expressive; either in happiness or in sadness.

She doesn't find much that entertains her for long. But for awhile she used to pull out clothes that don't fit her any longer and try to wear the dresses as skirts. So we went to the local Goodwill and bought her some dress-up clothes and she loves them. And, thank you Grandma Green for the beautiful Hawaiian necklace. She loves it. Matthew loves them too and told me today he wants to be a girl. In fact, right now during naptime he is using the time while Corinne is sleeping to wear all of her dress-up clothes.
Doesn't she look fancy?

Frankenstein

Nora is 16 months old and has finally decided to start walking. I guess I shouldn't be surprised--Corinne didn't start walking until she was 16 months either. I guess I just have 2 stubborn girls. Lucky me. Maybe it's not so unusual, but I find it funny that Nora sticks her arms forward as she walks so I have termed it "the Frankenstien." She has upgraded her walk today and now only sticks out one arm like she's the Statue of Liberty or that she's holding the olympic torch. She must have lofty aspirations, or so I hope. But most likely it just means nothing more than how she keeps her balance.
