4-wheelin'

Jeremy surprised me this weekend and drove all the way from CT and was able to be temporarily stationed at the Navy Reserve in Phoenix while his boat went out to sea. One thing that is nice about living on the outskirts of Phoenix is that we don't have to drive very far to get to the wilderness. So we took a ten minute drive to some nearby mountains and decided to take a small hike. Not our best idea to hike without a trail, but it was a fun adventure. Because of all the spring rain, a lot of plant life grew this spring. But since we haven't had any rain since March, it's all dead and prickly now.

Here's the small mountain we attempted to climb.

Then we trekked through the desert with Jeremy's Jeep and did some 4-wheelin'. The kids loved it.
